In school we are reading a book of our choice and then in week five we will be doing a book review. The book I chose to read is called the red pyramid written by Rick Riordan. This is a character description on one of the main characters her name is Sadie.

Sadie is a girl who is not afraid to say what she thinks; she is quite opinionated and sometimes she calls her brother (Carter) some not very nice thing, but I guess that's what brother and sisters do right? I know my sister's and I do sometimes. Anyway she is nine years old and she loves her chewing gum. She where's these black boots they are like her everything and she even sleeps with them on. Sadie has just found out that her and her brother have magical powers and together they could be stronger than the strongest God.

I am excited to see what happen next in the story and when I am finished you will see the book review:)

Vikings

Today in class we watched a video on Vikings.
In 1800's the Vikings began to build boats and they  traveled through the seas because the place they lived in (Scandinavia) was a hard place to farm and to survive. They Were out to find a place that they could live in without it being to hard to survive and farm. But of course when they found a place there were other people there so they killed them and took over the town. They were not out to find gold they wanted to find silver I don't know why because gold is better right? The Vikings did horrible things they choped people's heads off and killed heaps off people to get what they wanted I know I couldn't do something like that.

Cadbury world

On Sunday Laura, Maddison, bianca and I went to Dunedin for my birthday we went to the chocolate factory and inflatable world. These are some of the photos from the chocolate factory. These trucks only go 25 km an hour and that's without milk in them and without going up a hill. I loved the chocolate factory and we had heaps of fun.

Who was Pontius Pilate and what did he do?
Pontius Pilate was the Roman Governor of Judea. In Holy week he was the one who sentenced Jesus to be crucified.

Pontius pilate wasn’t the one who wanted to kill Jesus but he caved under the pressure of the Jews. His wife told him not to put Jesus to death because of a dream that she had that night. But he did it anyway.

Pontius pilate didn’t want to be the one to kill Jesus so he left it to the soldiers.

What we can learn from Pontius Pilate is not to cave under pressure and to do the right thing even when it is really hard.

Pontius pilate was the one who sentenced Jesus to be crucified. We can learn from him not to cave under pressure. I don’t think he was a bad man but I do think he could have made a better decision when it came to sentencing Jesus to death.

My Lion Quick write

It’s a beautiful day for filming. I’m in the car driving along slowly, looking around at the shinning lions lazing in the sun. Then one of the big golden beasts walk frightfully over, I see big brown eyes staring deeply into mine. Then a slobbery toothie mouth opens. What does he want? Does he want to eat me? Or just want to tell me to go away? Suddenly my heart jumps out of my chest, how did he do that he, he opened the door and I looked it straight away! I thought I was going to die, I told my friend to floor it and get me out  of this place. We drove away in horror.
I didn't expect that I felt like a rabbit running away from its hunter. How could such a innocent looking creature be so clever and vishous.
